Telecom Italia SpA has authorized the sale of a non-convertible bond for up to 6.5 billion euros ($8.2 billion) before March 31, 2010, news agency Radiocor reported, without saying where it got the information.
As much as 4.5 billion euros will be part of the Euro medium-term notes program, according to the Italian news agency. Telecom Italia revoked a decision made in February 2008 regarding the sale of 4 billion euros in bonds by March 31 of this year, Radiocor reported.
